Tying Flies

Ok, just what I need -- another hobby. Took a fly tying course at Patricks Fly Shop in Sept (just finished, it was 2 weeks, 4 sessions),  and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Quickly figured out that (a) it doesn't actually cost you less to tie your own flies (unless you go through a LOT of flies), and (b) you quickly end up with more than you need and just give them away. It's all good though, now I feel like I can tie just about any fly and I actually want to.

My Last Day at 121Media!

Today was officially my last day as COO/Director at 121Media, and I couldn't be happier. In the last six months, I've spent more time with my family, traveled, relaxed, mountain-biked, flyfished and just generally enjoyed life more than any other 6 month period in my life. And I've continued to be paid (at least until yesterday). Ahhh, life is good. Unfortunate for them though -- clearly they are struggling with distribution, mgmt issues/turnover, and sliding stock price. I wish them the best.
